When I Write My Poems

When I Write My Poems
21May02
Dedicated to Mrs. Donna Ciocca, a true friend and colleague

When I write my poems,
I’m putting soul on paper.
When I’m writing life,
It’s there for you to see.

When you see my poems,
You see a part of life,
A part not many have seen;
A part not many could guess.

When you see my poems,
I’m telling you my secrets:
I’m showing you a life
You’ve never seen yourself.

I’ve made mistakes in life,
I’ve followed my own road,
I’ve done some stupid things
Before I met the lord.

My life has truly changed.
I’m under God’s control.
I’m not walking my way,
Heaven is now my goal.
